-born in Mierani Forest
- developed pseudo dreamwalking ability at young age
- met a hag in her dreams
- hag is begrudged by her peoples
- hag places a hamatree curse on the children of Alune’s town, binding them to trees in an entirely different forest, lurkwood, in the manner of dryads.
-Children/family compelled to travel to Lurkwood to dwell near designated tree or else wither and die
– Alune arrives at Lurkwood
- children find that there are real dryads also in the vicinty who befriend the children and educate them, play tricks on passers by etc
- about 60 years pass
- prays to Desna more and more, as dreams of distant places plague her
- over time Alune finds the hag by dreamwalking
-Alune tricks Hag during a nightly dreamwalking and discovers way to break the curse
-Alune breaks curse
-Alune returns to where she knew other children to be bound, but they are not there
-returns to her village, to find it has been totally overgrown and looks totally abandoned
- Receives dreams and wanders aimlessly for a time
- makes a living telling fortunes to passers by on the road
-follows her dreams, which have been leading South
- recently seeing a giant broken bridge and also a mutliated body with a seven point star carved into its chest.
